25 January 2008 Powell Transport bought its first Swinglift in 2002 and now own five HC4020 Swinglifts. “The biggest factor in our decision to purchase the Swinglift product is due to the fact that the Swinglift can itself be loaded with a container, and still load or unload another container from the ground or another vehicle. This considerably cuts down time spent in the loading /unloading operation and is invaluable on a site with a number of containers that need to be moved or swapped over. Managing director Ian Patchell formed Patchell Industries in 1973 and today the company employs more than 100 people in design, manufacturing, sales and all the functions that belong to a progressive company. They have over 7,000 square metres of manufacturing facilities, state of the art finite element analysis design facilities and fully qualified mechanical engineers to ensure that all their products are built to the highest of design standards. The Swinglift product is manufactured in Patchell Industries Rotorua factory, with a sales office in Auckland, and representatives also based in Australia, UK, South Africa, North America and South America.  |
