Trailer (Chassis Types)
Three options of chassis design are offered.
- The first and cheapest option of the chassis is the fully fabricated I-beam chassis with a flat bar top flange with flat wear pads in the lift modules to suit.
- The second is the heavy tare weight unique Lattice chassis with solid tubular chromed slide rails.
- The third is the lighter tare “hollow tube” Lattice chassis.
- The lift modules for both these Lattice chassis have round wear pads with wiper seals to suit.
- The distinct advantage of the tubular slide rail is that unlike the lower cost flat bar slide it does not hold Tar and road grit which grinds out the flat wear pads, gouges out the top flange of the chassis and allows
the twistlocks on the lift modules to get out of synchronization with the container.
The distinctive Lattice chassis is preferred by Swinglift owners for its proven strength and low maintenance and its ability to flex, particularly on uneven surfaces.
All Swinglift chassis designs retain the industry proven Swinglift “leg over” lift module design.
